(1) Knowledge of internal connections and functions

of Wireless Apparatus together with ability to illustrate

them by means of diagrams.

(1) Emergency requirements:- How breakdowns of various

kinds in the plant should be dealt with.

(2) In the Manipulativa and Practical Tests the candidate

must (1) be able to send and receive at the rate of 27 words

per minute (counting five latters to a word) for 5 consecutive minutes without error or correction, the receiving to be tested on a buzzër set with weak signals and a double head-gear telephone, and (2) to adjust and explain the construction and practical working of the apparatus and machinery in use at the station, including testing for and removal of faults, and (3) demonstrate his ability to use a soldering iron and blow lamp in simple operations.

The examinations are conducted at the Wireless Stations,

and are held at such times and at such Stations as are required.
